Eve Air Mobility is partnering with Diehl Aviation, a leading provider of cabin interiors and systems for the aviation sector, to design and develop the cabin for Eve’s eVTOL aircraft. Diehl will handle the creation and integration of the complete interior, including the cockpit, cabin, and cargo compartment, along with advanced cabin lighting. The company will collaborate closely with Eve’s engineering and design teams to bring the vision of a cutting-edge and comfortable cabin to life, ensuring an exceptional flight experience for passengers.
Diehl Aviation will develop every aspect of the interior for Eve’s eVTOL aircraft, including side and ceiling panels, partitions, floor panels, and interior linings. They will also design the cabin and cockpit lighting using the latest LED technology. In alignment with high design standards, all materials will be eco-efficient, aiming to reduce both weight and carbon footprint.
The eVTOL aircraft, currently in development, is an all-electric vehicle designed to accommodate four passengers and a pilot, with plans for future autonomous operation allowing up to six passengers. It boasts a range of up to 100 kilometers and features a combination of fixed wings, rotors, and pushers to ensure high reliability, lower ownership costs, and a sustainable, low-noise commute for urban and short-range flights.
Dr. Jörg Schuler, CEO Diehl Aviation: “We’re delighted to be cooperating with Eve on the future of flying in the field of advanced air mobility and are proud that Eve is placing such great trust in us. We look forward to partnering with Eve to continuously improve the passenger experience and provide maximum comfort with our innovative products and solutions.”
