Embraer to Feature Cutting-Edge Aircraft at Bali Airshow 2024

Embraer is set to showcase its latest innovations in commercial aviation, defence, and executive jets at the Bali Airshow, taking place at Ngurah Rai International Airport from September 18-21. Attendees will have the opportunity to view scale models of Embraer’s advanced aircraft, including the E2 family of small narrowbody jets and the multi-mission C-390 Millennium, at Embraer’s booth B11, Hall B.

In Indonesia, Embraer’s presence is well established with the Indonesian Air Force operating a fleet of A-29 Super Tucanos, and a significant number of Embraer business jets active across the country. Additionally, PT Wira Jasa Angkasa (WJA) serves as Embraer Executive Jets’ authorized service center in Indonesia.

The E2 family, comprising the E190-E2 and E195-E2, represents the pinnacle of fuel efficiency and quiet operation in the single-aisle jet category. The E190-E2 accommodates up to 114 passengers, while the E195-E2 seats up to 146. Notable for their class-leading economic and sustainability performance, the E2 jets offer a flying endurance of over six hours, making them ideal for connecting diverse city pairs throughout the region. An example of this growing connectivity is demonstrated by Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, which will launch flights between Singapore and Kertajati International Airport (KJT) using the Embraer E190-E2 starting September 28, 2024.

The C-390 Millennium, another highlight at the airshow, boasts impressive capabilities for a medium-sized military transport aircraft. With a payload capacity of 26 tons, it surpasses its peers in terms of speed (470 knots) and range. This versatile aircraft is designed to handle a broad array of missions including cargo and troop transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian operations. The C-390 can operate from temporary or unpaved runways and is available in an air-to-air refueling configuration, known as the KC-390, which can function both as a tanker and a receiver, even receiving fuel from another KC-390 via wing-mounted pods.

Since its operational debut with the Brazilian Air Force in 2019 and the Portuguese Air Force in 2023, the C-390 has demonstrated exceptional performance, with the fleet accumulating over 14,000 flight hours and maintaining a mission-capable rate of 93% and mission completion rates exceeding 99%.

Embraer’s participation in the Bali Airshow underscores its commitment to showcasing its cutting-edge aircraft and strengthening its position in the global aviation market. The event provides a platform to highlight the advanced capabilities and broad applicability of Embraer’s aircraft, reinforcing the company’s role as a leading innovator in the aviation industry.
