MARSS Demonstrates RADiRguard Systems to Gulf States Delegation

MARSS, a UK-based specialist in defence technology, recently hosted a delegation from the Gulf States for a live demonstration of its advanced RADiRguard family of products in the South of France. The event provided attendees with a comprehensive overview of MARSS’s cutting-edge surveillance and security solutions.

The RADiRguard suite consists of intelligent perimeter protection and surveillance systems designed to secure critical assets, military bases, compounds, and private properties. Utilizing advanced radar and optical sensors along with artificial intelligence, RADiRguard enables autonomous detection, tracking, and classification of potential threats across various scenarios.

High-ranking officials from the Gulf States, including military representatives, attended the demonstration led by Rob Balloch, Chief Growth Officer, and Dr. Alberto Baldacci, VP of Science. The event began with an introduction to the RADiRguard family, highlighting the RADiRguard SR, which is designed for perimeter protection with a 250-meter detection range, and the RADiRguard CITY, optimized for urban environments and effective at 30 to 60 meters. MARSS representatives emphasized the flexibility of these systems in terms of power options and communication methods, showcasing their adaptability to various operational environments.

Following the introduction, the delegation was escorted to a live installation of the RADiRguard SR system. Positioned along a service road, this demonstration allowed officials to observe the system’s real-time detection and tracking capabilities for both vehicles and pedestrians. A standout feature of the RADiRguard SR is its self-contained design, where a single pole houses the sensor array, solar panels, and essential electronics, allowing it to operate independently from the power grid.

The group then visited a RADiRguard CITY installation, which combines surveillance capabilities with intelligent lighting features. The modular design of the RADiRguard CITY system was showcased, illustrating how additional features like facial or number plate recognition can be integrated based on specific user needs.

The demonstration concluded in a temporary command and control room, where the delegation received hands-on experience with the NiDAR unified command and control platform. This system serves as the central hub for the RADiRguard family, integrating data from multiple sensors to create a comprehensive tactical picture for rapid threat assessment and response.

Rob Balloch remarked on the event, stating, “We were delighted to host our esteemed guests from the Gulf States and demonstrate the capabilities of our RADiRguard family. This event not only showcased our technology, but also highlighted the importance of innovative, AI-driven solutions in modern security landscapes.”

Looking ahead, MARSS plans to expand the RADiRguard family with devices designed for greater ranges, tailored for applications such as border perimeter security. Balloch concluded, “The positive engagement from the delegation reinforces our commitment to developing cutting-edge surveillance technologies that meet the evolving needs of our global partners.”
