RTX’s Collins Aerospace signs nacelle MRO agreement with VietJet Group

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business (NYSE: RTX), signed an exclusive, long-term agreement with VietJet and VietJet Thailand, a subsidiary of Vietjet Air, for CFM56-5B nacelle maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.

VietJet and Thai VietJet, operate the second-largest CFM56-5B fleet in Asia Pacific. This collaboration significantly expands Collins’ business for nacelle aftermarket services on legacy fleets in the region.

Under the agreement, VietJet Group will benefit from preferred and enhanced support terms, which will also extend to nacelle repair for its PW1100G-JM fleet.

“This agreement with VietJet Group marks a significant milestone in our commitment to supporting the growing aviation market in Asia Pacific,” said Kevin Browne, vice president of Aftermarket and Customer Support at Collins Aerospace.

Vietjet is Vietnam’s largest private carrier, and a fully-fledged member of International Air Transport Association (IATA) with the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate. It has been a pioneering airline across the region and around the world.
