In a landmark initiative, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Minister of Civil Aviation, inaugurated the Aviation Park on October 18 within the Ministry of Civil Aviation premises. Nestled alongside a serene waterbody, the park features an impressive display of aircraft models that trace the evolution of aviation in India, highlighting the growth of the nation’s civil aviation sector.
The park’s design includes free-standing architectural columns that represent various regions of India, celebrating the country’s rich cultural and architectural heritage. A dedicated pathway guides visitors through significant milestones in India’s civil aviation history, from early flight developments to contemporary advancements, offering an educational experience for all.
Sustainability was a key focus in the park’s development, with bamboo used for shaded seating areas to promote eco-friendly construction practices. This thoughtful approach ensures that the park will not only be a destination celebrating India’s aviation achievements but also a space that honours its architectural and cultural legacy.
In his address, Ram Mohan Naidu praised the collaborative efforts of all involved in the project, stating that the Aviation Park serves as a testament to India’s growing influence in the global aviation arena. He expressed hope that the park will inspire future generations of aviation enthusiasts and foster a deeper appreciation for the industry’s advancements.
