Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has announced impressive financial results for the first half of FY 2024-25. The company achieved a turnover of Rs. 8,530.43 crore, reflecting a significant growth of 15.83% compared to the Rs. 7,364.82 crore reported during the same period last year.
In the second quarter of FY 2024-25, BEL’s turnover reached Rs. 4,425.29 crore, up from Rs. 3,918.13 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, showcasing strong performance across its operations.
The company’s Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the first half of the fiscal year stood at Rs. 2,488.22 crore, marking a substantial growth of 40.05% from Rs. 1,776.69 crore during the previous year’s first half. In the second quarter alone, PBT was reported at Rs. 1,450.88 crore, an increase from Rs. 1,072.94 crore in the same quarter last year.
Profit After Tax (PAT) also saw remarkable growth, reaching Rs. 1,867.41 crore, which represents a 39.03% increase over the ₹1,343.18 crore recorded in the first half of the previous year. The second quarter PAT stood at Rs. 1,091.27 crore, compared to Rs. 812.34 crore in the same period last year.
As of October 1, 2024, BEL’s order book position is robust, totalling Rs. 74,595 crores, indicating strong demand for its products and services in the defence sector.
