Ankara is set to host the “Future Soldier 2024” conference on November 26-27, an event aimed at discussing pivotal advancements in defence and military technologies. Organized by the Ministry of National Defence (MSB), the Presidency of Defence Industries, and the Turkish Defence and Aerospace Industry Manufacturers Association (SASAD), the conference aspires to enhance the agility and integration of the Turkish military through cutting-edge technology.
The event will address both current and future military systems, bringing together a diverse array of perspectives on the emerging threats posed by next-generation warfare. Topics will include autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, cyber threats, semi-robotic skeletal systems, and advancements in portable and wearable technologies. Additional discussions will cover optical and laser systems, sensors, electronic warfare, logistics, energy solutions, individual equipment, and modular systems.
At the conclusion of the conference, reports will be generated to inform strategies for enhancing the combat capabilities of the Turkish Army, the national defence industry, and allied forces. These insights aim to provide guidance on the measures necessary to counter various threats that soldiers may encounter in the field.
With the theme “New World, New War, New Warrior,” the conference underscores the evolving role of the combat soldier in light of rapid technological transformations. Approximately 400 participants from both international and national defense sectors are expected to attend, gathering at the Ankara Space and Aviation Specialized Organized Industrial Zone Conference Hall.
The “Future Soldier 2024” conference represents a significant step toward fortifying military readiness in an era characterized by rapid change and complex challenges.
