Elbit Systems Ltd. has announced that it has secured a contract worth approximately $200 million from the Israeli Ministry of Defence (IMOD) to provide high-power laser systems for the “Iron Beam” air defence project.
Under the contract, Elbit Systems will supply the IMOD with its high-power laser solution, developed by the company to provide a robust defence against a variety of threats. Additionally, the contract includes ongoing support services.
