The Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI) conducted a workshop titled “Advances in Aircraft Design Methodologies and Tools” in collaboration with Jain University at the CMS Business School, JGI. The event aimed to connect aircraft designers with CAD tools and software solution providers, fostering mutual benefits and collaboration within the aerospace sector.
The workshop addressed current design requirements and methodologies, highlighting both advancements and challenges faced in the industry. Participants appreciated the deep insights shared by various speakers, who discussed gaps encountered when utilizing design tools. The engaging discussions and active participation contributed to the overall success of the event.
Vendor Meet for Navy
In a separate initiative, SIATI organized a Vendor Meet at the AeSI Bangalore premises to address challenges faced by the Navy in repairing 70 rotables on five of their fleets, including the Sea King, Dornier, MIG-29K/KUB, and KM-31 & KV-28 helicopters. Eleven companies registered and participated in the meeting, which provided a platform for addressing repair issues and fostering collaboration.
Additionally, the Vendor Meet facilitated HAL (BC) in showcasing ten Hawk Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), where they are seeking industry partners for repairs. This initiative aims to strengthen partnerships between defence organizations and the aerospace industry, enhancing operational readiness.
