Thales and BCG Form Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Cybersecurity

Thales and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at assisting major French companies in managing cyber crises and responding effectively to incidents. The collaboration was unveiled at the Assises de la Sécurité event in Monaco, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced cybersecurity measures amid rising threats.

This partnership combines BCG’s strategic consulting expertise with Thales’ renowned cybersecurity services for businesses and governments. Together, they seek to deliver a comprehensive solution at a time when authorities are increasingly alert to the escalating threats posed by criminal organizations, hacktivists, and espionage groups engaged in economic and technological sabotage.

“Cybersecurity is no longer just a technical issue; it is now a top priority for management,” said Olivier Scalabre, Head of BCG France. He emphasized that the partnership equips executive teams with an integrated risk view, bolstering their companies’ resilience against mounting cyber threats.

According to Thales’ 2024 Cloud Security Study, 44% of companies surveyed reported experiencing a data breach, underscoring the critical nature of cybersecurity for business leaders. Spending on cloud security has now surpassed all other areas of security expenditure.

In response to the increasing number of digital threats, it is vital for businesses—especially those critical to national sovereignty—to utilize the most advanced cybersecurity tools and processes available. Thales leverages 40 years of cybersecurity experience, employing nearly 6,000 experts and developers to provide innovative solutions, including advanced AI and post-quantum cryptography technologies.

Thales’ capabilities encompass securing data, industrial infrastructure, and corporate information systems. Its Attack Detection and Response Services, available from 11 global cybersecurity centers, offer 24/7 monitoring and rapid response to cyber incidents.

Pierre-Yves Jolivet, VP Cyber Digital Solutions at Thales, stated, “We are proud to collaborate with BCG to help our clients safeguard their business value before, during, and after a cyber crisis, while also providing strategic foresight. This service is essential for any company looking to protect its digital sovereignty.”

The partnership marks a significant step in enhancing the cybersecurity landscape for French corporations, equipping them to better navigate the complexities of today’s digital threats.
