Lockheed Martin and U.S. Army Successfully Complete Precision Strike Missile Flight Test

Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army have successfully completed another production qualification flight test of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. During the test, a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launched two PrSM missiles in mid-range flight, successfully striking a designated target and demonstrating the system’s continued accuracy and operational readiness.

“PrSM demonstrates exceptional system performance and reliability,” said Carolyn Orzechowski, Vice President of Precision Fires Launchers and Missiles at Lockheed Martin.

“We continue to advance this credible deterrent, integrating 21st Century Security technologies into the baseline and future variants in support of cross domain and maritime operations.”

PrSM is the U.S. Army’s next generation long-range precision strike missile capable of neutralizing targets out to more than 400 kilometers. The new surface-to-surface weapon features an open systems architecture design for maximum affordability and flexibility, is modular for future growth and is M142 HIMARS and M270A2 MLRS compatible.
