Airbus and Moog Collaborate on Genesys Suite STC for H125

Moog announced that it has successfully received FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval of its Genesys cockpit avionics suite for single pilot Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations on the Airbus H125 helicopter.  The STC project was completed in collaboration with Airbus Helicopters.

The FAA approved the STC for the Genesys Avionics Suite™ on February 28, 2025, allowing Airbus H125 operators to expand the helicopter’s mission capabilities in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

The avionics solution is composed of dual Genesys  IDU-680 EFIS smart displays, Genesys IFR Helicopter Autopilot with Stability Augmentation System (AP/SAS), dual redundant ADAHRS, dual GPS/FMS, Genesys GDR™ VHF NAV/COMM digital radios, and other equipment required to achieve IFR certification.

The certified solution will initially be available for factory-new Airbus H125 deliveries in North America, followed by retrofit options for existing aircraft. Follow-on approvals are expected in other countries, which allow single engine IFR operations.

“Moog celebrates this achievement with Airbus in delivering a capable and affordable avionics solution for the H125, enabling IFR operations in the most demanding environments.” states John Filmonchik, Business Development Director Moog Avionics.
