HAVELSAN and Qader Factory Partner for Joint UGV Production in Egypt

As part of its vision to strengthen the global presence of the Turkish defense industry, HAVELSAN has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qader Advanced Industrial Factory, a subsidiary of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in Egypt. This agreement focuses on the joint production of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs).

Within the scope of this cooperation, the production of UGV systems—developed with Turkish engineering excellence—will be carried out at Qader’s facilities in Egypt, with technical support and licensing provided by HAVELSAN.

The agreement was signed by Major General Dr. Amr Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Qader Factory, and Şevket Ünal, Deputy General Manager of HAVELSAN, with the participation of Salih Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cairo.

HAVELSAN’s Competence in Autonomous Systems

HAVELSAN has established itself as a globally competitive player in the field of autonomous systems, developing innovative solutions in areas such as AI-powered decision-making systems, real-time data processing, swarm intelligence, mission management systems, and advanced sensor integrations for unmanned ground vehicles.

These competencies lay the foundation for versatile systems capable of executing missions in reconnaissance, surveillance, support, security, and border operations across various terrains and scenarios.

“Pioneering Technological Cooperation”

Commenting on the agreement, Şevket Ünal, Deputy General Manager of HAVELSAN, stated: “This cooperation represents not only a transfer of technology but also a sharing of expertise and strategic vision. We are proud to be co-producing advanced unmanned ground vehicles with our Egyptian partners. This partnership marks a significant step forward in strengthening the defense capabilities of both nations.”

Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen added:”Qader Factory stands out as a model production facility in Egypt with its technological capacity and quality standards. I believe this cooperation is the first step toward a long-term strategic partnership between HAVELSAN and Qader.”
