Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a global leader in polymer-based precision sealing solutions, announces the launch of its advanced Stefa® high-pressure radial shaft seal portfolio. Engineered to handle extreme operating conditions, the new range delivers enhanced durability, superior sealing performance and increased equipment uptime for high-value machinery in construction, mining, agriculture and manufacturing.
Designed with customer needs at the core, the Stefa® HPRSS line addresses key challenges in pressure, speed, chemical compatibility and shaft misalignment, offering proven performance in hydraulic pumps and motors operating at pressures up to 20 MPa and speeds up to 17 meters per second (MPS).
“India’s industrial and off-highway sectors are evolving rapidly with increasing demands for higher performance, longer life and reduced total cost of ownership. The new Stefa® seals meet these needs head-on,” says Inderjeet Singh, Global Product Line Director, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.
Product Highlights:
- HP20: Patented self-balancing design for high-speed and high-pressure conditions (up to 20 MPa and 2 MPS). A robust choice for hydraulic motors and gearboxes in earthmoving and mining equipment.
- HP20S: Cost-efficient and long-life solution for high-torque, low-speed motors, commonly used in agricultural machinery. Built for up to 15 MPa and 5 MPS, it features optimized lubrication channels for dry-start protection.
- SPS-HP20: Ideal for systems with shaft misalignment, such as winch motors or belt-driven applications. Customizable design offers exceptional flexibility for India’s diverse operating environments.
- SPV: Built to withstand pressure spikes and reversing loads, making it a perfect match for pumps and compact construction equipment. Operates at speeds up to 17 MPS and handles spikes up to 2.5 MPa.
Upgraded TRP Seal: Now with low friction and enhanced dirt protection—an essential upgrade for dusty and polluted industrial settings. Available in HNBR, NBR, and FKM materials for compatibility with various fluids.
Engineered for Indian Conditions
Designed and developed using advanced FEA modeling and tested on Trelleborg’s special rigs at global R&D Center, these seals are a result of close collaboration with OEMs and equipment manufacturers. Their adoption promises to significantly reduce unplanned downtime, lower maintenance costs and increase machinery life in India’s challenging work environments.
“With this launch, Indian customers get access to globally proven technology, locally supported by our Customer Solution Centers and Bengaluru Manufacturing Plant. This reinforces Trelleborg’s commitment to long-term partnerships in the Indian manufacturing and infrastructure sectors,” Singh adds.
