GRSE’s Women Leaders Win National Honours for Leadership and Empowerment

In recognition of their outstanding contributions to the growth and success of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd, two senior women officers of the shipyard were honoured with the Indian PSU Nari Shakti Samman Awards 2025.

The awards were presented by Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Speaker of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, at a ceremony held at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. Aparajita Ghosh, General Manager (Finance), received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Swagata Sen Roy, Additional General Manager (Corporate Communication), was conferred with the Women Empowerment Advocate Award.

A seasoned finance professional with over 33 years of experience, Ghosh joined GRSE in 2014 and rose to head the Finance Department in 2021. Her strategic leadership has played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s financial framework and guiding major projects, including the negotiation of the high value Next Generation Corvette contract.

Sen Roy, who joined GRSE in 2012, has been instrumental in enhancing the shipyard’s corporate branding and external communications. Currently heading Corporate Communication, she continues to spotlight the company’s achievements and actively contributes to women’s empowerment initiatives through her role in the Women in Public Sector (WIPS) forum.
