Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO Jim Taiclet has named Stuart Holliday as the corporation’s new senior vice president and chief public affairs officer, effective September 29. In this newly created role, he will oversee Communications and Government Affairs strategies and activities in full coordination with the company’s international operations – advancing engagement with key policymakers and customers. This will support Lockheed Martin’s most critical missions and further advance its 21st Century Security vision.

In this new structure, Robert Head, the newly promoted senior vice president, Government Affairs, will lead the company’s U.S. government affairs team.

“At a time of complex global challenges and evolving geopolitical environment, our ability to communicate clearly and advocate effectively is essential to delivering on our commitments to customers and national security,” said Taiclet. “With Stuart’s leadership and integrated team, we are well-positioned to further strengthen our reputation, deepen trust and drive impact worldwide.”

As CEO of Meridian International Center, Holliday leads the institution that advances American diplomacy, economic competitiveness and geopolitical resilience. He previously served as United States Ambassador for Special Political Affairs at the United Nations and as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Holliday has also held senior positions in the White House, the State Department and the Texas Governor’s office.

Holliday serves as a trustee of the Center for the Study of Presidency and Congress and the Blair House Foundation. He has received awards from the U.S. Navy and the French Legion of Honor.

“It is an honor to join Lockheed Martin at such a pivotal time for our industry and our nation,” said Holliday. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and continuing to help position Lockheed Martin as a trusted voice in advancing innovation, security and global partnerships.”
