MILKOR, a leading South African innovator in defence and aerospace technologies, is excited to announce its participation in the Defence & Security 2025 exhibition, held from November 10-13 at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok. As Asia’s premier tri-service defence exhibition, this event provides a vital platform for MILKOR to showcase its wide array of products, including a scaled model of the flagship MILKOR 380 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), reinforcing its commitment to addressing modern security challenges through cutting-edge solutions.

The Defense & Security 2025 exhibition is a cornerstone event for the global defence industry, attracting over 15,000 delegates from more than 50 countries, including high-ranking military officials, procurement agencies, and industry leaders. With over 400 exhibitors and a focus on fostering international collaboration, the event offers unparalleled opportunities for face-to-face engagement, enabling MILKOR to build trust, understand customer needs, and forge strategic partnerships. “Being present at this exhibition is critical,” said MILKOR. “Direct interaction with our clients allows us to demonstrate the company’s capabilities, address specific operational requirements, and strengthen relationships that drive mission success.”

MILKOR’s booth (R09) will serve as a platform for discussions, showcasing the MILKOR 380’s role as a game-changer in ISR. The MILKOR 380, a fixed-wing MALE UAV, boasts a maximum take-off weight of 1,500 kg, a wingspan of 18.6 meters, and an endurance of up to 35 hours with a range exceeding 4,000 km.

Milkor is the world-leader in 40mm weapon systems, which are extremely popular with infantries, special forces, and law enforcement. These rugged, shoulder-fired launchers fire a full spectrum of 40mm grenades, from lethal high-explosive to less-lethal riot control rounds, with effective ranges up to 800 meters. Milkor’s flagship grenade launcher is the SuperSix, a multi-range launcher combining lethality and precision in extreme conditions, capable of quick-succession firing of low- to medium-velocity NATO ammo, having a dual-use of lethal and less-lethal applications. Complementing these are the Stopper Convertible, adaptable for 37/38mm less-lethal or 40mm lethal rounds in urban and rural operations, and the UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher), a compact rail-mounted system enhancing assault rifles’ firepower. MILKOR’s 40mm lineup, produced with in-house design and testing, ensures superior reliability and quality control.

MILKOR’s naval offerings will feature scale models of the Ripper 1200 and Commander vessels, tailored for high-speed inshore operations. The Ripper 1200, a robust rigid inflatable boat (RIB) from MILKOR’s Ripper series, accommodates up to 20 personnel with exceptional agility, powered for speeds exceeding 50 knots and designed for rapid insertions, maritime interdictions, and special forces missions. Its deep-V hull and inflatable collar provide stability in rough seas up to sea state 4, with modular mounting for weapons and EO/IR sensors. The 16-meter Milkor Commander, a versatile aluminium monohull patrol craft, excels in coast guard and law enforcement roles, achieving 45 knots top speed and a 500-nautical-mile range at 35 knots. Optimized for anti-piracy, border control, smuggling interdiction, and search-and-rescue, it handles 4-meter swells with waterjet propulsion, ample deck space for 12 crew, and integration options for remote weapon stations, radar, and SATCOM.
