Rotortrade, the global helicopter dealership, announced the successful delivery of three pre-owned Airbus H145 D3 helicopters to Search and Rescue Services (SRSL), supporting the expansion and modernisation of New Zealand’s emergency air ambulance capability.
The aircraft, delivered over recent months, significantly enhance SRSL’s fleet and operational readiness. The Airbus H145 D3, widely recognised as the global benchmark for emergency medical services, provides advanced performance, reliability, and mission flexibility, enabling crews to operate safely and efficiently across New Zealand’s diverse and demanding environments.
This milestone reflects investment by SRSL, its regional Trust partners, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, and ACC New Zealand in strengthening the country’s lifesaving aviation infrastructure and ensuring access to critical emergency medical services when required. It also aligns with SRSL’s broader programme of fleet and capability expansion.
SRSL’s operational growth includes the installation of a new state-of-the-art H145 FNPT II MCC simulator at its Taupō training centre, further supporting pilot, paramedic, and crew development and reinforcing training infrastructure.
Rotortrade stated that it is honoured to support SRSL’s continued growth and operational development.

Marcello Corrado Salati, Regional Sales Director at Rotortrade, commented: “It has been a privilege to support SRSL through these aircraft deliveries, and I would personally like to thank Paul Baxter and the entire SRSL team for their trust and collaboration. The dedication and professionalism of their organisation are exceptional, and their mission goes far beyond aviation. Our teams have naturally established a strong and transparent working relationship, and we are proud to contribute, in our own capacity, to supporting the vital work they perform every day across New Zealand.”
Paul Baxter, CEO of SRSL, said: “These aircraft represent a critical investment in our ability to deliver advanced emergency medical care to communities across New Zealand. Rotortrade has been a trusted and responsive partner throughout this process, and their support has helped ensure the smooth integration of these helicopters into our fleet as we continue to expand our operational capability.”
Aurélien Blanc, Executive Director and Vice President APAC/MEA at Rotortrade, added: “SRSL’s continued growth, combined with its investment in fleet and training infrastructure, reflects a clear long-term vision and commitment to operational excellence.” We are honoured to support such a dedicated organisation and contribute to strengthening emergency air ambulance capabilities in the region.
Rotortrade and SRSL extended appreciation to Airbus Helicopters for its cooperation and support in enabling successful delivery execution and strengthening the helicopter support ecosystem in the region.
The company reiterated its commitment to supporting emergency medical and public service operators worldwide, providing aircraft solutions and technical expertise for critical mission operations.
Rotortrade also extended thanks to Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, ACC New Zealand, and SRSL’s regional Trust partners for their continued support in strengthening emergency air ambulance capabilities and enabling frontline operations across New Zealand.
